CIFAS
CIFAS is the United Kingdom's fraud prevention service. It is a not-for-profit membership association representing the private and public sectors. CIFAS operates two databases: the "National Fraud Database" and the "Staff Fraud Database". Historically the acronym stood for 'Credit Industry Fraud Avoidance Service', although the company no longer operates under this name as the remit has broadened.
