CPC, part of the global Premier Farnell Group, is a business-to-business distributor of electrical and related products.[1] However, recent advertising has seen itself being promoted to end consumers, for example tabloid newspapers and special interest satellite TV.
History
Established in 1967, CPC has over 40 years experience serving a large and diverse customers base.[2] In May 1995 Farnell Electronics acquired Combined Precision Components (CPC) [3] and in 1996 CPC became part of the Premier Farnell Group after the acquisition of Premier Industrial Corporation.[4] CPC is currently part of the Other Distribution Division within the Premier Farnell Group.[5]
CPC was the host of the UK’s first Raspberry Pi hack day, held in Leeds in December 2012. The 24-hour event focused on programming solely using the credit card-sized computer.[6]
