CPC Gangbangs were a Montreal, Quebec-based garage punk band,[1] composed of former members of bands Les Sexareenos (1999–2002), The Spaceshits (1995–99), Lyle Sheraton and the Daylight Lovers (1997–99), Grime, and Milky Ways. The group's debut LP "Mutilation Nation" was released in 2007 on Swami Records. It was active performing from early 2003 through 2008.

Established in 2001 as The Gangbangs, it was originally intended as a punk band influenced by the likes of Black Flag. Its first single was released in 2002 by High School Refuse Records, titled "When All Turns To Shit."

In early 2003, guitarist and vocalist Paul Spence, (previously a member of a punk rock band, Lyle Sheraton and the Daylight Lovers), and newly famous for co-starring in the mockumentary cult classic FUBAR: The Movie, joined the band, renamed the CPC Gangbangs. Daylight Lovers' bassist Roy Vucino, using the stage name Choyce, who had been the guitarist for Les Sexareenos, also a guitarist, changed its sound significantly. Unlike in the Daylight Lovers, where Spence was the band's frontman, and focal point of the group, Spence and Choyce shared songwriting duties and stage presence evenly. Choyce helped advance the band's image further, addressing his drug addiction. After entering and completing a drug detoxification program, he returned to the band with renewed vigor and incorporated experiences of crime and hard drug-related experiences in the lyrics of songs for the band. He also found an interest in Alastair Crowley, Austin Osman Spare, and their ideas influenced the imagery and lyrical content as well.of the band, as he incorporated . .

While faithful to the sound of garage punk, CPC Gangbangs incorporated elements of space rock and thrash metal into their music. In this incarnation, the CPC Gangbangs became a staple on the Montreal scene by virtue of both recordings and live shows.

Following the departure of key members and the arrest of another in the USA, Choyce released a statement declaring the band's dissolution. Its core has since formed a new outfit under the name Red Mass, one that has inherited the imagery and Crowley influences of the previous band.
