Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2010 is a hunting game developed by Cauldron and published by Activision for the PlayStation 3,[1] Wii,[2] and Xbox 360[3] in 2009.

Gameplay

The player is a man named Jack, who is trying to become a member of a hunting club named the Order of Orion. Terrain is one thing the player needs to focus on. Falling off ledges or logs, or stepping on noisy terrain could cause failure in the hunt. Aggressive animals, such as bear, will attack the player, which also results in hunt failure. Game like African buffalo, impala, and kudu are more challenging than deer, elk, and bighorn.

Story

The player starts out in Colorado, where he hunts whitetail deer, pronghorn, and mule deer. Then he tracks and hunts a mountain lion. After this, the player proceeds to Montana, where he hunts mule deer, Columbian black-tailed deer, bighorn sheep, elk, and fights an American black bear. The player then goes to New Zealand where he hunts red deer, wapiti, feral goat, fallow deer, and whitetail deer. Next, the player hunts in the Canadian backcountry, with tags for caribou, stone sheep, mule deer, and Columbian black-tailed deer. After passing the challenges in Canada, the player proceeds to Alaska with tags for Dall sheep, Sitka deer, caribou, and a grizzly bear. Next, the player goes to Finland, with tags for red deer, Finnish forest reindeer, and a Eurasian brown bear. Then the player proceeds to Siberia, where he hunts red deer, wapiti, snow sheep, and a Siberian brown bear. Once the player completes this, he goes to Argentina, with tags for chital, red deer, water buffalo, mouflon, fallow deer, blackbuck, and a cougar. Then, the player proceeds to the final level in Tanzania, where he hunts impala, Cape buffalo, greater kudu, and the final dangerous game animal: the African leopard. The small game animals and birds the player hunts include mallard duck (Colorado), mountain cottontail (Colorado), swift fox (Montana), pheasant (Colorado), European hare (New Zealand, Finland, Argentina), paradise duck (New Zealand), Canada goose (Canada), snowshoe hare (Canada), ptarmigan (Alaska), red fox (Finland), capercaillies (Finland), mountain hare (Siberia), corsac fox (Siberia), speckled teal (Argentina), grey partridge (Argentina), African blue quail (Tanzania), jackal (Tanzania), and Egyptian goose (Tanzania).
