Dr Pepper Snapple Bottling Group (formerly Dr Pepper/Seven Up Bottling Group and Cadbury Schweppes Bottling Group) is the third largest bottling company in the United States after Pepsi Beverages Company and Coca-Cola Enterprises. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dr Pepper Snapple Group.

History

The Dr Pepper/Seven Up Bottling Group (DPSUBG) was formed in 1999 by the merger of the American Bottling Company and the Dr Pepper Bottling Company. Several other regional bottlers were acquired by DPSUBG between 1999 and 2006.

Cadbury Schweppes Bottling Group was renamed and reorganized on May 2, 2006 by the Cadbury Schweppes buyout of the Carlyle Group's holdings in the Dr Pepper/Seven Up Bottling Group.

Cadbury Schweppes Bottling Group and other beverage operations of Cadbury Schweppes were spun off in 2008 to form Dr Pepper Snapple Group and resulted in the company being renamed Dr Pepper Snapple Bottling Group.
