History

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, CallRail was founded in 2011 by Georgia Tech graduates Andy Powell and Kevin Mann. Powell’s first business, an online consumer directory for BMW mechanic shops, was growing fast and he needed a way to show his customers that the directory was driving calls. Out of this need to prove value for his directory and the quality of leads sent to his customers, the CallRail idea was born. He enlisted help from software developer Kevin Mann. Together, they created CallRail to help businesses learn what makes their phones ring.[4]

In January 2015, CallRail raised $1.9 million in Series A funding for product development, sales, and marketing.[5][6]
