Calvin Normore
Calvin Normore (born June 25, 1948 in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada; PhD University of Toronto, 1976) is a philosopher at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where he holds the Macdonald Chair of Moral Philosophy since Fall 2008. He is also professor of Philosophy in the UCLA Department of Philosophy. Normore, an expert in Medieval Philosophy, is a past president of the Pacific division of the American Philosophical Association.
A few of his publications are "The Necessity in Deduction: Cartesian Inference and its Medieval Background," [1] "Material Supposition and the Mental Language of Ockham's Summa Logicae",[2] "Fool's Good and Other Issues: Comments on Self-Knowledge and Resentment",[3] "Scotus, Modality, Instants of Nature and the Contingency of the Present".[4]
