Cambridge riot of 1963

The Cambridge riot of 1963, was a race riot that occurred on June 14, 1963 in Cambridge, Maryland, a small town on the Eastern Shore.[1] It emerged from the campaign for civil rights led by Gloria Richardson and the local chapter of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, along with the violent repression by pro-segregationist civilians and police.
