Cameron Smedley (born October 9, 1990 in Ottawa, Ontario) is a canoe/kayak Whitewater slalom athlete who competes as a member of the Canadian National Whitewater Slalom Team.[1] He competes in the C-1 Men class (single boat Canadian canoe) as well as C-2 Men (pair boat Canadian canoe) with his team partner Ben Hayward.[2]
Cameron competed in his first Senior level ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in 2009 (La Seu d'Urgell, Spain). As a Junior competitor, Cameron placed 9th in the finals of the 2008 Junior World Championships.
Cameron attended West Carleton Secondary School located in Dunrobin, Ontario, and graduated in 2008. He is currently attending Carleton University, and is enrolled in Mechanical Engineering.[3]
