Cancroidea is a superfamily of crabs, comprising the families Atelecyclidae and Cancridae, and tentatively †Montezumellidae.[1] Four other families have been separated into new superfamilies: Cheiragonidae into Cheiragonoidea, Corystidae into Corystoidea, and both Pirimelidae and Thiidae into Portunoidea.[2]
