Cangyuan Washan Airport (Chinese: 沧源佤山机场) is an airport being built to serve Cangyuan Va Autonomous County in Lincang, Yunnan province, southwest China. The airport is located in Nuoliang Township (糯良乡). Construction began on 20 December 2013, with an estimated total investment of 1.589 billion yuan.[1] The airport is expected to open in 2015, and will be the second airport in the prefecture-level city of Lincang, after Lincang Airport.[1]
Facilities
The airport will have a runway that is 2,600 meters long and 45 meters wide (class 4C), four aircraft parking spots, and a 3,000-square-meter terminal building. It is designed to handle 270,000 passengers and 1,080 tons of cargo per year by 2020.[1]
