The California Valley coyote (Canis latrans ochropus), also known as the San Joaquin Valley coyote, is a subspecies of coyote native to the lower Sonoran regions of San Joaquin Valley, California.[1]
It is similar to C. l. latrans and C. l. lestes, but is smaller, darker and has larger ears.[1]
