The Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly^[1] is one of the seventeen (17) districts of the Central Region of south Ghana.^[2] The capital is Cape Coast, which is also the capital of the Central Region.^[3]

Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly district is bordered by the Gulf of Guinea to the south, Komenda/Edina/Eguafo/Abirem Municipal District to the west, Abura/Asebu/Kwamankese District to the east and Twifo/Heman/Lower Denkyira District to the north.^[2]
