Capnolocha praenivalis is a moth in the Xyloryctidae family, and the only species in the genus Capnolocha. It was described by Meyrick in 1925 and is found in New Guinea.[1]
The wingspan is 25–26 mm. The forewings are dark fuscous, in males bronzy-tinged and in females with a suffused white apical spot. The hindwings are grey.[2]
