The Carbury–Goodlands Border Crossing connects the towns of Souris, North Dakota and Deloraine, Manitoba. The town of Carbury, North Dakota was established by the Great Northern Railway in 1901. It was originally supposed to be named "Roth", but the wrong sign got installed, and the error was never corrected.[1]

The United States replaced its border station, which was built in 1963, in 2011. Canada replaced the 1970s-era Goodlands border station in 2013.
