Carin Greenberg

Carin Greenberg Baker or Carin Greenberg is a Daytime Emmy Award winning creator, writer, story editor and producer of children’s entertainment. She was also nominated eight times for the Daytime Emmy.

Career

She has been Head Writer of two seasons of the animated series Lalaloopsy, consistently top-rated on Nick Jr., and also wrote a 44-minute musical direct-to-video Lalaloopsy movie. She also co-created and wrote Destination Solar System, a live show opening at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago in May 2014. Greenberg has also written two feature films for BabyFirst TV, currently playing in limited release in the Northeastern U.S. Previously, she wrote the TV special, The Weight of the Nation for Kids:Quiz Ed!, for HBO Family, which received a 2013 Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Children’s Television Program. She also story edited and wrote for Season 2 of Disney Jr’s Octonauts, which received a 2012 International Emmy nomination and 2011 BAFTA nomination for Preschool Animation.

Co-Producer of a live action pilot, The Adventures of Taxi Dog; Co-Creator and Executive Producer of the animated TV series, Growing Up Creepie (Daytime Emmy nomination); writer on numerous Sesame Workshop special projects, including Shalom Sesame; Supervising Producer of ToddWorld for Discovery Kids, which she also developed for television (3 Emmy nominations; 2 Humanitas nominations); Executive Story Editor for Dragon Tales on PBS, HBO’s Harold and the Purple Crayon (Humanitas nomination) and A Little Curious, Disney’s 101 Dalmatians: the series (2 Daytime Emmy nominations), Nickelodeon’s Allegra’s Window and Gullah Gullah Island, and Ghostwriter on PBS (Writers Guild Award winner). Greenberg has also written episodes for numerous series including Between the Lions (Emmy winner & additional Emmy nomination), Doc McStuffins, Sherriff Callie’s Wild West, Chuggington, Jungle Junction, Angelina Ballerina, Backyardigans, Bubble Guppies, WordWorld, Wonder Pets, and Dora the Explorer, among many others. Greenberg also scripted three Dragon Tales Live stage shows, which toured the United States. Prior to her work in television, Greenberg authored 26 books for children, including her seven-book Karate Club series for Penguin USA, which sold over 200,000 copies. Carin is a graduate of Yale University with a B.A. in Russian & East European studies.
