Carl Guardino is CEO of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group (SVLG), in Silicon Valley, California, in the United States.[1] In that role he has been described as "Silicon Valley's cheerleader in chief."[2]
Positions
Guardino supports immigration legislation reform, and has stated that immigration is a workforce and competitiveness issue.[1]
Guardino points out that the cost of housing in the Silicon Valley is a major deterrent to hiring and retaining staff for local companies. He led the SVLG, in partnership with the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, in forming a $24 million housing trust which has helped more than 6,000 families find housing in the area.[2]
