Carmen Lourdes Dominicci Ramos[1] (born July 15, 1966 in Ponce, Puerto Rico) is a Puerto Rican news anchor, television reporter and PSA representative.
Career
Dominicci Ramos, a native of Ponce, began appearing in television commercials and beauty pageants in Puerto Rico during the late 1980s. She represented Puerto Rico in modeling competitions in the United States and Europe. Later she began acting in theater T TV comedies and in mini-series (which is a term used for shorter, three or four chapter versions of telenovelas (soap operas), which helped her become a household name and recognized figure in Puerto Rico. She left modeling and acting to study journalism. She married Puerto Rican actor Osvaldo Rios and had a son: Guiliano Rios Dominicci.
In the 1990s in Puerto Rico, Carmen Dominicci was active as a news reporter and began appearing in TV news shows in TeleOnce and became news anchorwoman for Wapa TV. In 1998, she signed a contract with Telemundo 47 as news anchorwoman and worked in New York City for four years covering important events such as 9/11.[2] In 2002 Dominicci joined Univision's highly touted news show Primer Impacto and for three years anchored and reported events such as the Pope's John Paul II death . On Monday October 17, 2005, at 7 P.M. E.S.T., news veterans Carmen Dominicci and Rolando Nichols anchored the primetime news and information program "TeleFutura en Vivo y en Directo" (TeleFutura Live and Direct) launched by Telefutura Network.[3] In 2006 Carmen Dominicci came back to Univisión, as correspondent and anchor. She did investigative reporting for "Aquí y Ahora" (Here and Now). She met and became involved with fellow anchor Fernando Del Rincon. The two would later marry and then divorce amongst a bitter set of circumstances. In the summer of 2008 she hosted, on Wednesday and Saturday from 9 P.M. to 10 P.M. E.S.T., the original Galavisión production of "Misión: Reportar" (a talent search program).[4] On December 14, 2009, Carmen Dominicci returned to Telemundo as part of the news team. On May 11, 2010, at the 20th anniversary of the Latino Commission in its annual gala "Cielo Latino" and in the company of Hollywood and Broadway stars including Miss Universe 2008 and 2009, NBC/Telemundo anchor woman Carmen Dominicci was installed as International Ambassador of the Latino Commission on AIDS.[5]

August 20, 2007: Carmen Dominicci and Mexican journalist Fernando del Rincón marry in a marathon celebration starting Friday and ending Sunday in Puerto Rico.
June 21, 2008 Carmen Dominicci and Fernando del Rincón go to Casa de Campo famous resort in the Dominican Republic as guests in the wedding of coworker and friend, Lourdes Estephen . It is at this time when the incident of domestic violence presumably took place between Fernando del Rincón and Carmen Dominicci.
June 30, 2008: Carmen Dominicci asks Fernando del Rincón for a divorce; she would not split her assets with him.
November 25, 2008: Carmen Dominicci and Fernando del Rincón sign divorce papers in a court in Miami, Florida, U.S.A.
November 25, 2008: Carmen Dominicci leaves Univision after six years of work in the network.
December 12, 2008: Carmen Dominicci denounces the act of domestic violence in a court in the Dominican Republic.
December 18, 2008: Dominican Republic authorities investigate Carmen Dominicci's domestic violence claims against Fernando del Rincón. The case is still open.
October 9, 2009: At 8 P.M. E.S.T on Mega TV, Miami, Carmen Dominicci appears in an interview in Maria Elvira Live describing her job as Godmother of the Latino Commission on Aids.
Awards
Dominicci during her career as a reporter has won numerous awards, including three Emmy regional, a Paoli and an Ace award. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Universidad del Sagrado Corazon with a degree in Journalism and Social Communication.
