Carmenta surinamensis is a moth of the Sesiidae family.[1] It was described by Möschler in 1878, and is known from Brazil, Surinam, Guyana, Trinidad, Panama, and Costa Rica. The larva of the species have been found on seeds of the plant Prioria copaifera, as well as plants in the genera Pentaclethra, and Mora.
