Carole Epp is an emerging Canadian Ceramic artist currently based out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In 2005 Carole graduated from The Australian National University with a master's degree in Ceramics. She is also the editor of Musing About Mud, a blog that provides information and showcases material related to the ceramic arts. Epp now maintains a full-time studio practice.[1] Epp designates her ceramic works into two distinct categories Sculptural and Functional objects. Her Sculptural ceramic pieces incorporate pop culture, religion, current events and nostalgic ideas wither own desire to expose her personal demons as well as investigating political issues in modern society. She represents these sculptures through the genre of the collectible figurine. Where as her functional pieces include dishes such as bowls, plates and mugs, which she made for her first-born son. These dishes are illustrated with storybook images that are meant to inspire joy and happiness. Epp’s works have been displayed globally in locations such as Australia, Scotland, The United States of America, and as well as Canada. Her work has been on display at various exhibits some of the exhibits she has been show cased at are Snow Series at The Alberta Craft Council Gallery in Edmonton, Alberta, as well as The Politics of Innocence at the Mendel Art Gallery in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Some of Epp’s current gallery representation is at Void Gallery as well as the Mendel Art Gallery in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and The Jonathon Bancroft Snell Gallery in London, Ontario. Education

In 2001 Carole graduated from the University of Regina, Saskatchewan, with distinction with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an accompanying Ceramics major and Art History minor. Then in 2005 she graduated from with High Distinction from The Canberra School of Art at The Australian Nation University in Canberra, Australia, with a Masters of Arts, majoring in Visual Arts and Ceramics.[2]
