Carrie's War (1974 TV serial)
Carrie's War was an adaptation of Nina Bawden's book Carrie's War, broadcast from 28 January 1974 to 25 February 1974 on BBC1 in five, 30-minute episodes.
World War II evacuees, Carrie Willow (Juliet Waley), and Nick Willow (Andrew Tinney), are billeted in a small Welsh village - (the serial was filmed on location in Blaengarw) - with the austere Mr. Evans (Aubrey Richards), and his sister Lou (Avril Elgar). Carrie becomes an unwilling go-between, embroiled in a family feud between Evans and his elder sister Dilys (Patsy Smart).[1]
