In November 2007 the band were involved in a near fatal car crash while traveling to their gig and had to escape from their van by breaking a window and climbing out. They split up shortly after in Dec 2007 after a tour with Zico Chain. Bassist Dan Logan joined local Brighton band The Kooks and replaced Max Rafferty after his departure in 2008.
In 2008, Cat the Dog drummer Andy Newton and Kooks guitarist and song writer Max Rafferty formed the band The Third Man.
