Catholic News Service
Catholic News Service (CNS) is an American news agency covering the Roman Catholic Church. CNS was established in 1920 and is a source of news for Catholic print and broadcast media throughout the world.
The news agency labels itself as the primary source of national and world news that appears in the U.S. Catholic press. It is editorially independent and a financially self-sustaining division of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. CNS is based in Washington, D.C.[1]
It has a documentary service called Origins, which "publishes texts from the Vatican, pope, bishops, Congress, Senate, Supreme Court and church leaders around the world".[2]
There is a similar agency called the Catholic News Agency.
