Cecil Hills High School is a comprehensive coeducational high school with an enrolment of 1206 students (Year 7 to Year 12), including 81% of students who are from a non-English speaking background. The school has a support unit. The school continues to foster an excellent reputation in the local community. The school has a history of outstanding academic success and high expectations in all curriculum areas. The school's welfare, extra-curricular and sports programs develop leadership, resilience and responsibility in students. Houses: The school uses a house system that encompasses all academic, sporting and extra-curricular achievements. The houses are named after famous Australians. The houses are Chisholm (green) Goolagong (yellolw), Hollows (red) and Whitlam (blue).

Community: The Cecil Hills community is a largely non-English speaking background community.

A number of extra-curricular activities exist at Cecil Hills High School including knitting for charity
