Cecile Arnold (1891 or 1895–1931) was an American silent film actress and Zigfeld Follies girl.

Life

She was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1891[1][2] or in New York City in 1895.[3][4] Born Cecile Laval Arnoux,[5][6] the blonde known for playing femme fatales was a Ziegfeld Follies girl before moving to Mack Sennett's Keystone Studios in 1913.[3][7] She appeared in at least fifty films with notables such as Charlie Chaplin, Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle, Mack Swain and Charlie Chaplin's half brother Syd.[8] She ended her film career in 1917 to marry a banker and relocated to the Orient where she died in Hong Kong of a particularly virulent strain of influenza in 1931.[3][9]
