Celebrity Deathmatch is a video game based on the Celebrity Deathmatch show. The game features celebrities and movie monsters as playable characters.
Gameplay
In this fighting game, the player needs to hit his opponent several times until the opponent's life meter flashes red. With this, a text will show Kill Him! on the HUD, the winning player then needs to fill up the MTV meter to full, in order to make it rise faster, players can taunt the audience. When in the proper momentum, the player can finish the opponent off by performing their special moves, totally decimating the opponent.
Within the match, several boxes containing various power-ups and weapons can be picked up by the players for advantage.

There are 27 total characters: 20 from the start and seven unlockable, regular versions of Nick and Johnny are not playable. There are also 4 created fighters (male and female, each with two sets of fighting styles).

The game was met with negative reception upon release. GameRankings and Metacritic gave it a score of 37% and 32 out of 100 for the PlayStation 2 version;[20][23] 36% and 36 out of 100 for the Xbox version;[21][24] 27% and 30 out of 100 for the PC version;[18][22] and 20% for the PlayStation version.[19]
