The Cardiff based Celtic Dragons are part of the Netball Superleague (UK), which consists of the top eight netball teams in Wales and England, with the Dragons being the only team from Wales. Superleague teams members include international players from around the world. The teams compete against each other each week during the season, which runs from January to May. Most of the Dragon's home Superleague games are played at the Sport Wales National Centre, Sophia Gardens.[2][3] In the FIAT Netball Superleague 2009/2010 season, the Celtic Dragons finished in sixth position.[4] The Celtic Dragons enjoyed their most successful season in 2013, reaching the grand final before being edged out by Team Bath.[5] Lottisha Cato, Dragons’ powerful shooter from St Patricks in Grenada, is the only foreign player in the team, while all other players are Welsh.[6] The vocal club supporters are known as the 'green army'.[7]
