Centex Corporation was a home builder founded and headquartered in Dallas, Texas.[1] The company was acquired by rival Pulte Homes in 2009 for 1.6 billion dollars.[2]

The builder was bought put by Pulte in 2009 and is now part of a larger company called the Pulte Group. The larger company consists of Pulte Homes, Centex Homes, Del Webb Homes, and DiVosta Luxury Communities.
