Central Electricity Supply Utility of Odisha (CESU) (earlier Central Electricity Supply Company of Odisha Ltd) is responsible for power transmission and distribution across Odisha.[1] Originally, the licence to operate in the state was guaranteed in 1999, by Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission under the provision of Odisha Electricity Reform Act, 1995 to Central Electricity Supply Company of Odisha Ltd.[1] However, the license was revoked in April 2005, and the management was shifted under Central Electricity Supply Utility of Odisha ( Operation and Management ) Scheme, 2006 in September 2006.[1] The company also manages the state load dispatch center, which monitors and controls the grid operations.
