Cerconota is a genus of moth in the Oecophoridae family. Nye & Fletcher (1991) included it in the family Oecophoridae and the subfamily Stenominae. It was later placed in the family Elachistidae and subfamily Stenomatinae by Hodges, in Kristensen (1999).[2] The current status of these moths is disputed and they may be part of Elachistidae or Oecophoridae.
