Chityala Ailamma or Chakali Ailamma (1919–1985) was an Indian revolutionary leader during the Telangana Rebellion.[1][2] She revolted against the feudal lord, Zamindar Ramachandra Reddy, known as Visnoor Deshmukh, to save her four acres of land when he tried to occupy it. She became an inspiration for many during the rebellion against the feudal lords of the Telangana region.

Early life

Chityala Ailamma was born at Krishnapuram village in Rayaparthi mandal Warangal district, Telangana State, India.She belongs to Rajaka caste.

Career

Chityala Ailamma was an activist, and joined the Andhra Mahasabha and the Communist party. She worked actively against the Nizam government and her house was the center for activities against the feudal land lords.

Personal life

Chityala Ailamma was married to Chityala Narsaiah and had four sons and one daughter.
