Maharaja Shri Bettada Chamaraja Wodeyar VIII Bahadur (27 August 1759 - 6 September 1776.) or Chamaraja Wodeyar VIII, was the Raja of Mysore (r. 1770 - 1776). He reigned under the control of powerful Sarvadhikari, Hyder Ali.
Life
He was the second son of Krishnaraja Wodeyar II and succeeded on the death of his elder brother Nanjaraja Wodeyar, 2 August 1770.
16 September 1776, He was strangled and killed in the bath at the Royal Palace of Seringapatam, on the orders of Hyder Ali.
