Chan Chak
Admiral Chan Chak(Chinese: 陳策; 1894–1949), was an admiral of the Republic of China Navy. He was the Commander of the 4th Fleet and then the Commander-in-Chief of the 1st Fleet. He lost his left leg due to the Battle of Bocca Tigris against Japan. He was awarded K.B.E. in 1942, for helping David Mercer MacDougall and other British officers to escape from Hong Kong.[1] From September 1945 to June 1946, he was the Mayor of Canton. In 1949, Chan Chak died in Canton.[2]
