Channing Pierce is an American actress beauty pageant titleholder from Royal Oak, Michigan. She was crowned Miss Michigan USA 2011 and represented her state in the Miss USA 2011 pageant. Her acting credits include a role in the 2013 film Oz the Great and Powerful.

Career

In September 2010, entered as Miss Royal Oak USA 2011, Pierce competed for the Miss Michigan USA 2011 title.[2][3] The state pageant was held at Power Center for the Performing Art, the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.[4] She won the statewide title on September 11, 2010.[5]

Pierce represented the state of Michigan in the Miss USA 2011 pageant in June 2011.[2][6] Sports Book Review described Pierce as a "favorite" and set her odds of winning at 12-to-1.[7] Oddsmakers at Wynn Las Vegas ranked her 6th among the 51 contestants, setting Pierce's odds at 16-to-1.[8][9] During the pageant finale, broadcast live on June 19, 2011, from the Theatre for the Performing Arts at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, Pierce was not named as a Top-16 finalist.[10]

In addition to her pageant work, Pierce is an actress and a model featured on magazine covers,[11][12] an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!,[13] and a role in the 2013 Disney movie Oz the Great and Powerful.[14]
