Charles Eliot Ware
Charles Eliot Ware (May 7, 1814 – September 3, 1887), son of Henry Ware (1764–1845), was a prominent Boston physician. He received a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1837, and founded a large private practice. In addition to the practice, Ware also served as a visiting physician to the Massachusetts General Hospital. In 1842, Ware, along with Dr. Samuel Parkman, founded the New England Quarterly Journal of Medicine. The journal was canceled due to lack of support after a single year. Ware died on September 3, 1887, on his farm in Rindge, New Hampshire.[1]
