John Tottenham, 9th Marquess of Ely

Charles John Tottenham, 9th Marquess of Ely (born 12 February 1943)^[1] is a Canadian-British peer and member of the aristocracy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland of Irish descent. He succeeded to the title in 2006.

On 27 December 1969 he married Judith Marvelle Porter, daughter of Dr. John Jacob Porter. The couple adopted two children:

• Andrew John Tottenham (b. 26 Feb 1973)
• Jennifer Katherine Tottenham (b. 29 June 1975)

His sister Lady Ann Tottenham was the second Anglican woman to be elected as a bishop in Canada.
