Charles Wace

Charles Wace is the founder of Twofour Group, a leading UK independent production company which he formed in 1988.[1]

Wace stepped down as Group Chief Executive in 2013 following a merger with Boom Pictures and is now a non-executive director of the Twofour Group. He is also a non executive director of sister digital communication company ONE TWO FOUR.

The company was named Broadcast magazine’s Independent Production Company of the Year in 2014 and 2010.

Wace is a board member of Creative England,[2] and chaired the UK independent trade body Pact (Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television) for two years.[3]

In 2012 the University of Plymouth awarded Wace a honoury doctorate in Business.

In 2010 Wace was awarded the Devon & Cornwall Royal Television Society's Outstanding Achievement Award for services to television.

Wace was awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award for Technology & Communication South Region in 2007.

Wace started his career in newspapers before moving to BBC Radio and Television where he worked as a reporter and producer.

His brother is British born financier, Ian Wace co-founder of a London-based hedge fund.
