When Prue dies at the end of season three, The Source was certain he had ended the Power of Three; but now The Charmed Ones are three again and their powers are strengthened, following the arrival of their long-lost half sister Paige. The Source can no longer send lesser demons against them, he must personally intervene to put an end to the sisters.[5]
