Charters Towers Courthouse

Charters Towers Courthouse is a heritage-listed courthouse, located at 26–30 Hodgkinson Street, Charters Towers, Queensland, Australia.

The courthouse was completed in 1886 and remains substantially unchanged since its completion. The courthouse consists of two brick buildings built parallel to each other and connected at the rear.

History

Construction of the courthouse began in 1885 to the design of the then Colonial Architect, John James Clark.

Heritage listing

The courthouse was listed in the Queensland Heritage Register in 1992.[1]
