Chartwell Retirement Residences is the largest participant in the Canadian seniors housing sector, with nearly 180 locations across Quebec, Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia. Chartwell offers independent living (IL), independent supported living (ISL), assisted living (AL), memory care (MC), and long-term care (LTC) across Canada.

History

The company was founded in 2003 through the merger of JBG Management Inc., Alert Care Corporation, and Chartwell Care Corporation forming the new entity Chartwell Seniors Housing Real Estate Investment Trust. The company was rebranded as Chartwell Retirement Residences in 2012.

Leadership Team

Chartwell’s Senior Executive Committee is made up of five individuals:[1] Brent Binions is the President and Chief Executive Officer,[2] Vlad Volodarski is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investment Officer[3] at Chartwell, Karen Sullivan is the Chief Operating Officer,[4] Jonathan Boulakia is the Chief Legal Officer[5] and Sheri Chateauvert is the Chief Administrative Officer.[6]
