Chenchu Lakshmi is a 1958 bilingual Telugu and Tamil film directed by B. A. Subba Rao. The film was released in 1958.

Production

It is a musical hit film based on the Hindu mythological story of Lord Vishnu blessing Prahlada. It was also made earlier in 1943 with different cast and crew.

The plot

The storyline is that of Ahobilam, wherein Lord Vishnu as Narasimha after killing Hiranyakasipa leaves into the deep forest. Mahalaxmi as Chenchu Lakshmi born as daughter of the Chenchu tribal head. Narasimha gets attracted to Lakshmi and she puts many conditions who successful in them and they get married.
