Cheng Lim LRT Station (SW1) is an LRT station on the Sengkang LRT Line West Loop in Anchorvale, Singapore. It was once not for passenger service since the beginning of operations of West Loop on 29 January 2005 due to little development around the area.

History

On 1 January 2013, Cheng Lim opened for passenger service.[1] The proposed Sengkang General & Community Hospital, to be ready by 2018, will be located next to the station.[2][3]

Etymology

The station is located near now defunct roads numbered from Cheng Lim Farmways 1 to 6 and Lorong Cheng Lim. There used to be many farms in the area. Lorong Cheng Lim and the Cheng Lim Farmways 1 to 6 were named after Goh Cheng Lim, founding director of Kim Hock Hoe Ltd, ship owners and commission agents.
