Cherninia is an extinct genus of mastodonsauroid temnospondyl. Fossil remains of it have been found in India. This species had an enormous skull that was 1.4 m (4.6 ft) long. The body length is believed to have been up to 4.3 m (14.1 ft) in length.[1]
