Chhatrasal Stadium

Chhatrasal Stadium is a stadium near the colony of Model Town. Football, wrestling, athletics, basketball, kabbadi and handball are the sports facilities available at the stadium.[1][2][3][4][5]

History

The stadium is named after Maharaja Chhatrasal whose sculpture is installed with black marble near the entry gate. The original stadium was built in early 2000, but due to Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi, it was renovated to new and advanced track.[6] The stadium is directed by Dronacharya awardee, Mahabali Satpal.

The stadium has a capacity of 16,000.

Location

Stadium is located within walking distance from Azadpur Metro Station. There are 13 entry gates. The Stadium is often closed on Sundays while training for various disciplines take place in morning and evening times.
