Chhawla is a census town in South West district in the state of Delhi, India.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Chhawla had a population of 9047. Males constitute 57% of the population and females 43%. Chhawla has an average literacy rate of 77%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 83% and female literacy of 68%. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age. Chhawla village is a big Jaat dominated village.It is the biggest village of Delhi and second richest after Asola-Fethpur Beri the twin village. Chhawla contributes 23% (approximately) of Delhi's wealth.Leaders like Yogesh Kashyap belong to this village.[2]
