Chikaar (Urdu: چکار ) is a village and hill station in Hattian Bala District of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is located 46 kilometers (29 mi) from Muzaffarabad at the attitude of 1,607 meters (5,272 ft). [1] It is the headquarters of Tehsil Chikkar.
The village is accessible from Muzaffarabad by Muzaffarabad-Chakothi road branches off at Dhanni Baqallan. It is also accessible from Sudhan Gali.
A rest house of AJK Tourism & Archeology Department is under construction in village. Some private hotels with basic facilities are available here for tourists stay.
Notable caste families in this area are Tazail Rajpute,Dogras, Khawaja, Shaal, Awaan, Choudry.
