Children & Society is a peer-reviewed academic journal covering research relating to children and young people. It is published by Wiley-Blackwell on behalf of the National Children's Bureau. The journal covers research and practice across a broad spectrum of topics, including: theories of childhood; children's everyday lives at home, school, and in the community; children's culture, rights, and participation; children's health and well-being; child protection, early prevention, and intervention. The current editors-in-chief are Rachel Thomson, Lindsay O'Dell, Heather Montgomery and Mary Jane Kehily.
According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2011 impact factor of 0.73, ranking it 18th out of 41 journals in the category "Social Work".[1]
