Chips&Media, Inc., based in Seoul, Republic of Korea, is a provider of hardware IP codecs that have been deployed in high volume markets including wireless handsets, home entertainments, communication, networking, and portable multimedia markets.

Since 2003, as a first mover in licensable video IP, the firm has been developing a series of codecs for high performance multimedia digital devices. Its advanced video IP cores, BODA and CODA, cover a full line of video standards such as MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.263, H.264/AVC, VC-1, DivX, RealVideo, AVS, MVC, VP8, Sorenson and Theora from CIF to full HD resolutions. Their video codec technologies are used more than 80 licensees in globally includes Freescale,[1][2][3] VIA,[4] Realtek, Novatek,[5] Innofidei,[6] Telechips and so on.
