Chithra (Kannada: ಚಿತ್ರಾ) is a 2001 Indian Kannada romance film directed by Dinesh Babu and produced by Ramoji Rao. A remake of Telugu film Chitram (2000), directed by Teja, the film features Ananth Nag alongside newcomers Nagendra Prasad[1] (brother of actor-director Prabhu Deva) and Rekha Vedavyas in the lead roles.[2] The film had the musical score by Gurukiran which was well received. The film, upon release, was well received and declared a blocbuster at the box-office.

The music of the film was composed by Gurukiran.[3] The soundtrack was well received upon release and Gurukiran won the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director for the year 2001.
