ChÅngbang Station is a railway station located in SariwÅn, North Hwanghae province, North Korea.[1] It is on located on the P'yÅngbu Line, which was formed from part of the KyÅngÅi Line to accommodate the shift of the capital from Seoul to P'yÅngyang; though this line physically connects P'yÅngyang to Pusan via Dorasan, in operational reality it ends at KaesÅng due to the Korean Demilitarized Zone.[1]
Until 1956, the station was called Kyedong Station. It is located near the well-known tourist sites of Mt. ChÅngbang, ChÅngbang Fortress and the SÅngbul-sa Buddhist temple.
